I am a proud Muslim convert, originally from Colorado, and I embraced Islam in 2000. Since then I've been studying the traditional sciences of Islam, and love being involved in community work - nonprofits, youth groups & masajid.

In 2010-2014 I spent time abroad with my family living in Saudi Arabia & then Cape Town, South Africa where I & my husband Ryan started getting actively involved in with Madina Institute. Our family then moved to Atlanta to work with Madina on this side of the Atlantic.

My Teaching Approach:

I love Tajwid. When I teach Tajwid & recitation, it is not simply about letters & sound; it is about developing love for the Quran, and training ourselves to recite the way it was by our Beloved Prophetﷺ. I believe that the Quran is accessible to everyone. I seek out the best teaching methods and materials possible, and try to make the journey of learning the Quran amazing!
